Back in March 2007, David Rose spoke at TED U on how to pitch to venture capitalists. In this speech he outlined the ten most important points that need to be conveyed when pitching

isted as integrity; passion; experience; knowledge; skill; leadership; commitment; vision; realism; and the ability to listen, he outlines the need to capture the audience’s attention at the beginning, continue on a solid upward path through the presentation from beginning to end and “finish with a boom”. Emphasis is put on a logical progression through the presentation whilst relating your points to real world examples supported with validation. The talk discusses the composition of slides,  the manner of the presenter to the audience, the focus of the presentation content and how to present the core business model and the financial overview of the business.
