Memery Crystal is delighted to have advised Global Holdings (GHMG UK), the developer, investor and asset manager of Global Holdings Group’s UK hotel and office portfolio, on creating the UK’s largest full timber frame, net zero carbon office building. Planning was recently granted by Camden Council.

By pursuing innovative design and circular economy principles, construction methods and use of sustainable materials, this LETI Pioneer 95,000 sq ft building will deliver a substantially reduced carbon footprint versus typical office buildings. The building outperforms the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Office target by over 50% and exceeds GLA and Camden policy targets for sustainability and energy efficiency.

The building also has a strong wellbeing ethos with landscaped terraces on most levels, a communal rooftop garden and yoga deck, and large windows to maximise daylight. People will have the opportunity to come together via a restaurant at ground level and a fully equipped active commuting hub.

Memery Crystal’s Head of Construction, Jo Kelly, commented: “We are really excited to be part of this innovative and sustainable development for Global Holdings and we wish them every success.”

The Memery Crystal team is led by Head of Construction Jo Kelly and includes James Ashwin, Legal Director, and Meera Pankhania, Paralegal.

Enabling works will commence late summer 2023, with the project starting on site in early 2024, and completing Q1 2026.
