Memery Crystal is pleased to announce that it has advised Ashtrom Properties UK on the £68m acquisition of the 360,000 sq. ft. Grade II listed building Exchange Flags from Shelborn Asset Management in Liverpool.
Located in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district behind the Town Hall, Exchange Flags comprises two distinct buildings – Horton House and Walker House – each combining stunning historic architecture with modern, stylish refurbishment and providing 313,000 sq. ft. of offices over 10 floors, along with 28,000 sq. ft. of retail, along with an 18,000 sq. ft. museum. Current office occupiers include The Secretary of State for Defence, Brabners, Regus, DLA Piper, Jackson Carter, Brookes Bell, Colliers International and Deloitte. Retail occupiers on the ground floor include El Gato Negro, Esquires Coffee, Philpotts and Fazenda.
The transaction utilised a broad range of Memery Crystal’s legal services including Real Estate, Banking & Finance, Corporate, Tax, Construction, Employment and Commercial advice. In all, over 20 lawyers from Memery Crystal were involved in advising on this complex real estate acquisition.
The Memery Crystal team was led by Co-Head of Real Estate Alastair Moss and Real Estate Senior Associate Ayesha Qayum, assisted by an extensive team including Tom Driscoll (Associate, Banking & Finance) and Sophie Moonshine (Solicitor, Real Estate).
