Memery Crystal LLP has acted for longstanding client Shanta Gold Limited (“Shanta Gold”) in connection with a firm and conditional placing of new ordinary shares on AIM, which was oversubscribed and raised approximately US$35 million before expenses.
Shanta Gold is a gold development company with operations in Tanzania. Proceeds from the fundraising will be used to support the continued expansion of mining operations at its New Luika Gold Mine.
The Memery Crystal team was led by corporate partner Nick Davis, corporate partner David Walker and included corporate associate Rumit Nanji.
Nick Davis commented, “We are delighted to have assisted Shanta Gold with this oversubscribed fundraising, which demonstrates significant investor confidence in its expansion strategy.
