Memery Crystal Head of Commercial, IP & Technology (CIPT) and renowned gambling law expert Carl Rohsler has announced the publication of the fifth edition of The Gambling Law Review, of which he is the Founding Editor.

In addition to the Preface, Carl Rohsler has also written chapters on ‘Gambling: A Legal and Philosophical Overview‘ and ‘United Kingdom’ in the latest edition.

The comprehensive guide features 28 chapters and aims to provide a short summary of the gambling law of the jurisdictions featured in it, uniform enough to allow comparison between different legal systems. The entire fifth edition can be found here.

Carl Rohsler joined Memery Crystal in 2018 and in his extensive career, has acted for some of the leading gambling companies in the world, advising on a spectrum of regulatory issues, commercial arrangements and disputes. He is the author of a number of works on gambling law and practice including Gambling Act 2005: A Current Law Statute, Current Law Statutes Guide to The National Lotteries Act 2007, and Licensing Law and Practice (2008). Carl is on the editorial board of the Online Gambling Lawyer and is recognised as a leading practitioner by both Chambers and The Legal 500.

Commenting on the release of the guide, Carl Rohsler said: “I am delighted to announce the publication of The Gambling Law Review, now in its fifth edition. When we started this project, we had 16 different jurisdictions covered, and now we have expanded the work to nearly 30 key states with overview chapters on European law, US Federal Gaming law and some more general topics. I’m very proud of the work of all of the authors, and hope practitioners will find the guide useful.
