Memery Crystal’s Corporate team has started 2024 with a bang, advising on three equity fundraisings in as many weeks, acting for Cavendish and Turner Pope as brokers and Cairn as nominated adviser on a placing by Valirx plc; for Zeus Capital as broker on a placing by Kelso Group; and for Graft Polymer on its fundraising
Valirx plc., the AIM listed life science company focusing on cancer therapeutics and women’s health, raised approximately £1.8 million before expenses pursuant to its fundraising round. Valirx intends to apply the proceeds towards R&D, commercial development and brand establishment.
Kelso Group Holdings plc, the Main Market-listed acquisition vehicle, raised £1.88 million before expenses. Kelso intends to use the proceeds to continue to execute its mandate to engage and unlock trapped value in the UK stock market.
Graft Polymer plc, the Main Market-listed, multi-sector specialist chemical company offering modified and alloyed polymer and bio-polymer solutions, raised funds from a cornerstone investor and its own board.
The Memery Crystal team was led by Senior Partner Nick Davis and Partner Robert-Bines Black, who were assisted by Senior Associate Amanpreet Deusi.
Nick Davis commented: “It is encouraging to see our Corporate team off to a great start this year, with three fundraisings completing in short succession. Our Equity Capital Markets team was strengthened in 2023 with two new Partner hires and we continue to provide an efficient, thorough and commercial service to our company and broker clients.”
