Memery Crystal, the independent London based international law firm, is pleased to announce it has advised Ananda Developments plc on its fund raising and application for admission to the NEX Exchange Growth Market.

Ananda Developments is an investment company formed to invest in medicinal or therapeutic cannabis derivatives, or related products and is only the second company within the cannabis industry to seek admission to the NEX.

Ananda’s strategy is focused on companies, projects and products requiring funding to further progress research and development, as well as companies developing or which have already developed, products that contain cannabis derived cannabinoids for commercialisation. Ananda Developments will seek to identify investment opportunities in companies and projects based in Israel, together with Canada and the Netherlands.

The Memery Crystal team consisted of partner Nick Davis and Director Mark O’Donnell

Nick Davis, CEO of Memery Crystal, who led the process commented:

“We are delighted to have advised Ananda on its admission to NEX. Given the importance of cannabis within the medical and therapeutic sectors, and the limited exposure investors currently have to companies like Ananda Developments, this NEX listing signifies an important development for the medicinal cannabis industry in the UK.

“It also comes at a time when a number of important conversations are taking place across the sector and the UK government is reviewing laws on the use of medicinal cannabis, as the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis continue to be explored across the globe.”
