Memery Crystal, the independent London based law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hed Amitai to establish a wealth structuring department, which will further assist our clients with their structuring arrangements.
Hed joins from McGuire Woods LLP, where he spent five years as a partner specialising in asset structuring for capital tax planning and wealth preservation. Hed acts for a variety of international clients with interests in the UK as well as individuals relocating to the UK or investing money in the UK. Hed regularly advises private banks and family offices on UK and international tax and structuring issues, and has increasingly been reviewing the structures of high-net-worth individuals and their businesses not only from a tax and estate planning perspective but also to assist clients in maintaining their positive reputations in the market.
Hed is recommended in the Legal 500 publication for both Private Client and Corporate M&A having recently acted for Arlington Investors assisting them in the acquisition of student accommodation portfolios with over 10,000 beds in total.
The appointment of Hed follows the recent hires of employment partner Stephen Ravenscroft from White and Case and IP and gaming partner Carl Rohsler from Squire Patton Boggs, who joined the firm as partners in the last month from U.S firms.
Memery Crystal’s CEO, Nick Davis, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Hed to Memery Crystal. He will be an excellent addition to our team, bringing a new skill set which will enable us to better assist our clients with their investments and personal asset structuring. Hed is another top tier hire for Memery Crystal and his appointment also continues the trend of senior lawyers from large U.S firms seeing the attraction of growing, independent firms such as Memery Crystal where the clients come first.”
Hed Amitai, said:
“I am delighted to be joining Memery Crystal, an entrepreneurial and dynamic firm with a strong track record of delivering excellent service. I very much look forward to becoming part of what is a perfect synergy for both me and my clients within the entrepreneurial ethos of Memery Crystal as I help to drive forward the wealth structuring offering.”
