    Jaden Cramer is an Associate in the Employment department.

    He has experience in advising employers and senior employees on all aspects of employment law (both contentious and non-contentious) across various business sectors.

    Jaden previously practiced employment law for 4 years in South Africa before joining a tier one employment practice in London, and was a member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa.

    Jaden is the recipient of the Kistefos African Public Service Fellowship to support promising leaders working in public service in South Africa, Ethiopia, and Liberia, a member of the UJenius Club and recipient of the Cum Laude Gold Medal, and one of South Africa’s top legal students of 2017. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and South African Lawyers in London association.

    Recent experience

    • Acted as Lead Employment Associate for the purchaser in the sale and purchase of an airport hotel which involved advising on the Due Diligence report, TUPE, employment status, reorganisation, termination, outsourcing, bonuses, holiday pay, notice, and PILON.
    • Acted as Lead Employment Associate for the purchasers on Share Purchase and Investment Agreement. This involved advising on employment aspects of the Due Diligence as well as drafting the employment section of the disclosure letter.
    • Acted as Lead Associate for one of the world’s largest Capital Market companies in an investigation into fraud, Misconduct, and financial abuse.
    • Advised a Senior Executive on FCA implications of an investigation report on drug an expense related misconduct.
    • Drafted and negotiated the employment contract for the CEO of a FTSE250 Company (Lead Associate).
    • Advised a charity on a complicated scheme of arrangement and their liability for National Minimum Wage.
    • Appointed by Kirkland and Ellis as Lead Associate to conduct a due diligence investigation into the South African operations of Clinigen plc (project clipper).
    • Acted as Lead associate in a confidential due diligence report for Thyssenkrupp (Project July).
    • Assisted Plastic Omnium, a global automotive manufacturer which notably develops and produces fuel storage and delivery systems and depollution systems (Project Kopanang).
    • Advised and successfully brought injunctions in some of South Africa’s biggest and most violent strikes in the mining, automotive and manufacturing sectors.
